It is very much the season for the holidays!
In real
estate, holidays present a
season where you can creatively engage those you
already know and even leverage opportunities to attract new customers.
You
might do this to stay top of mind in real estate, whether that's with past
customers or just the people you know in general.
On the other hand, you can
create holiday content to attract more home buyers and sellers.
Today, I'm sharing six-holiday marketing ideas for
real estate. The first three are just for engagement, so you can build your
agent brand through entertaining content. The next three content ideas are
designed to help you grow your business.
And
the best part? You can take any of these ideas and use them in a variety of
ways.
So
here are three areas to focus on this holiday season:
1.
Double-Down
On Your Social Media Strategy
Now is not the time to post generic "Happy
Holidays" posts that everyone else is sharing. Everyone (in & out of
real estate) is sharing content like this, and it doesn't do anything to make
you stand out and truly engage your sphere and potential customers. Instead, I
want you to be focused on sharing a variety of content that engages, brands you
locally, and is geared towards your ideal customer. Posts that highlight the
season at home are wonderful for continuing to stay top of mind.
However, we're also in a real estate market where people have questions and concerns. Don't shy away from being a trusted source of info when it comes to real estate. Because if somebody has a real estate need and they see you authentically sharing content
that helps, they'll be more inclined to reach out to you! And it doesn't have to be stuffy or boring - keep it interesting by leveraging short-form videos like Instagram Reels.
If you want a complete social media plan for the holidays and
beyond, give me a
call or email me! I will provide you with daily posts, ready-to-share Instagram Reels, and a strategy
for success.
2.
Strengthen
Relationships with Email Marketing
As much as I find value in social media
marketing, I don't want you to forget about email marketing. Email is a direct
connection to the people who you want to engage. Whether it's past customers,
friends and family, or even new leads, email sparks conversations while keeping
you top of mind.
However, a basic email blast that says "Happy Holidays" isn't going to do
much for your marketing. It's going to look like you didn't put a lot of time
or thought into it, and it will end up in the delete folder among the rest of
their junk email. We want people to feel special and that you care about them.
And to do this, you need to include the right type of content in your email.
Email can be a personal form of marketing that
works to strengthen relationships. My number one email metric to determine
success is if people simply respond! That's how you begin conversations that
can lead to future opportunities.
Now, if you want a shortcut to email marketing
that works, you can reach out to me. Or better still, subscribe to our email

3. Make your website festive for the holidays
If you are still using your listing sites like Property254
or buyrentkenya, it is time to create
one of your own. Its surprisingly easy to build your own real estate website focused
on your niche and geographic region. When you have control over your own site,
you can easily update the hero banner on the homepage with one that is perfect
for the holiday season.
If you already have your site, now is the time to make sure it is
mobile-optimized so your potential clients can view it on their smartphones
while on the go this season.
This is one of our websites which we have managed
to make it load fast and got an A grade.
And we can do that for you as well. Email

4.
Make
charity gifts an incentive
Good
news: Research on email
marketing shows that less is more. For the best click-through
rates, real estate professionals should have around 35 lines of text in their
emails. For the holidays, use this space to provide an incentive for people to
work with you.
Consider
offering a percentage of your commission to a charity of your choice for all
closings during the month of December. Your clients will feel good knowing that
working with you will help the community they are choosing to live in, and will be able to use the donations as a tax write-off for this year.
5.
Publish holiday-themed blogs
If
you have not started sharing your expertise through a blog on your website, this
holiday season is the time to start. Real estate content marketing is
a powerful tool that real estate agents can use to expand their reach to those
who are looking for help buying or selling homes.
You
can use your blog to offer tips ranging from guides on how to best prepare a
home for sale to checklists for closings. And during the holidays, you can
share useful information about local and seasonal events or simply provide an
open forum for clients to ask questions.
In case you do not have time to create
blogs, don't worry. We can create blogs for you just like this one. Email us on [email protected]
or call us on 0726982982.
6.
Send
Holiday Cards
We normally send out holiday cards to your close family
and friends, so why not extend
that courtesy to potential buyers and sellers? Consider writing a small, handwritten note on the
card, too. When you provide a personal touch to your prospects, you make people
feel important and closer to you.
You are also getting free publicity because people
generally display the holiday cards they receive, so your name and photo will
be constantly visible in their home. When you send out a holiday card, you can
also include a promotion to give potential buyers or sellers a great,
time-sensitive reason to call you!
