Police
in Nairobi are presently looking into the strange death of an unnamed lady
whose dismembered body was found at an Airbnb home in Roysambu.
The disturbing chain of events began when a male
client in charge of renting the place returned the key early on Sunday morning
before suddenly leaving.
Risper Muthoni, the Airbnb property manager, reported
that the unknown suspect secured the room around 3 p.m. on Saturday,
January 13.
Muthoni informed the media that, under the policy,
once paid, visitors are entitled to an uninterrupted stay until the specified
check-out time.
The horrific discovery was not made until Sunday
morning, when the caretaker reported finding strange polythene bags and a
blood-soaked bed sheet on the stairway.
After many failed efforts to elicit a response,
Muthoni and her crew entered the unlocked room, where everything seemed normal
save for blood streaks on the door.
They then filed a report at the Kasarani police
station.

According to Muthoni, the police were provided the
suspects identify as well as pertinent CCTV video from a nearby site where he
had obtained the premises' keys.
On Sunday, law enforcement agents were spotted holding
polythene bags and a blood-soaked bedsheet, believed to contain the deceased
woman's bones.
Jimmy Kimari, the head of Kasarani Divisional Criminal
Investigations, was there at the scene and delivered a harsh warning about
forthcoming crackdowns on Airbnb operators who did not have security cameras
installed, urging them to maintain complete guest records.
The woman's body was found just a week after John
Matara, a suspected serial killer said to have slain socialite Starlet Wahu
inside an AirBnB in Nairobi's South B neighborhood, was taken into custody by
police.
